Yomna Abdelkawy is an aspiring artist and software developer hailing from Cairo and currently based in Toronto. Driven by a passion for film and Arab culture, she joined TAF in 2024 as a film screener and currently hosts the Layali El-Cinema series where she curates, researches and introduces audiences to beloved classics and hidden gems every month, and facilitates discussions around their sociopolitical backgrounds.
