STORY MAJLIS: WRITING THE NEXT CHAPTER OF ARAB CINEMA
The next session of Story Majlis* is taking place December 20.

- looking to establish accountability to help you meet deadlines?
- interested in feedback on your work and ideas?
Story Majlis is for you. Join other writers for a 3-hour dedicated writing session. This will be a frequently recurring gathering for screenwriters who need a space to bounce ideas off of others, get feedback from others or simply focus on writing pages, outlines or treatments. These are unstructured sessions that are meant to be directed by the participants based on needs and interests. However, once in a while, we will bring in screenwriting experts to guide participants through certain challenges or blocks.
* ‘Majlis’, an Arabic term denoting, a seating place, a gathering, a council. The idea behind Majlis came out of feedback from Arab writers who felt the need for a space for them to practice their craft with similarly minded filmmakers.
