Genna Megaw

Genna Megaw is a creative producer of award-winning films, series, and digital media that spotlight underrepresented voices, combining strong storytelling with strategic distribution and commercial viability. Raised in Toronto with a background in theatre, documentary, and scripted content, she began her career producing films across Australia, Asia, and the South Pacific, with a focus on Indigenous and underserved communities. Her international work has been supported by government and not-for-profit funding, and she won “Best Documentary Series” for a follow-doc on female-led tech startups in Sydney and San Francisco. Now based in Canada, Genna produces original film and digital content for the Stratford Festival, including the CSA-nominated Illuminated Text, while building a company that supports emerging screen artists through training and production. Her work has earned eight film awards and continues to champion diverse voices and first-time filmmakers.
